Pentair pool light repair and troubleshooting.
IntelliBrite, MicroBrite and GloBrite lighting can fail because of the underwater fixture—or because of GFCI protection, transformers, relays, switches, automation or wiring upstream.
Common Pentair pool-light symptoms
The useful starting point is the symptom and the installed equipment—not assuming the underwater fixture is automatically bad.
Light is completely dark
Check power, protection, transformer output, switching or relay operation before condemning the fixture.
GFCI trips
Water intrusion, cord damage, fixture failure or another electrical fault can trip protection.
Colors are wrong or out of sync
Color issues can involve the light, switching sequence, relays or automation controls.
Flickering or intermittent
Intermittent output may involve the fixture, voltage, connections, driver or controls.
Identify voltage, fitting, transformer and controls first.
Pentair lighting families are not interchangeable simply because they are the same brand. Fixture size, niche or fitting, voltage, cord route, transformer and automation all affect the correct replacement path.
